Install DHCP

1. Install the DHCP Feature

• To install the DHCP Feature for a server navigate the Server Manager > Local Server > Manage > Roles & Features > Role-based or feature-based installation > DHCP server > include management tools > Install

2. Commit

• Complete DHCP configuration > authorize with a domain account > Commit > Done

3. Create & Define a New Scope

• Within the Server Manager > Local Server > open Tools > DHCP > right-click Managed Authorized servers > expand the server > IPv4 > New Scope... > give a name and description > configure IP range and exclusions > set lease duration > Yes to additional options > set the Default Gateway > set the DNS server > set WINS (optional) > activate the scope > Finish

4. Confirm Functionality

• Open Command Prompt > ipconfig > ipconfig /all to confirm DHCP settings
